Lots of you have known me on Etsy for years or if you do now, I'm strawberrycouture on Etsy. In the past, I have crocheted my own hats made to order that you´ve seen in my Etsy listings over the years. One day I wanted to be sell only my patterns as passive income on Etsy. That would be so great. Who wouldn´t? Now would be a time to do it, but before I go on, let me tell you how it started.

It began with the covid-19 pandemic in May of 2020. Before I always shopped at Hobby Lobby. Whenever a customer ordered a physical hat, All I had to do was visit Hobby Lobby. Find out more about Hobby Lobby. I bought the yarn of the customerś desired color of the hat or scarf. Then covid-19 lockdown happened. By May 2020 the Hobby Lobby stores closed all 2 of our local stores here in Corpus Christi, Texas and 1 in Kingsville, Texas. We live 10 minutes from one of the Hobby Lobby stores. Another one is a 45-minute drive, and another one is 1 1/2 hours.

I thought about ordering online hobbylobby.com. There would´ve been a longer wait for the yarn to arrive while customers waited on me to finish their order. I let that be my turning point. This allowed me to only focus on patterns.

Now, one year later, everybody got used to me only selling patterns. Lately, I still get requests from shoppers if I still have any hats available to offer. I do but I still have to find them. I appreciate the requests though.

Here is my first opportunity for you to enjoy this. It's free to share, download, crochet, etc. Treat this like a beginner pattern before the next level. You can work your way to the more challenging patterns of the Lauren and Ombretta hat. All I want you to do is have fun!

It would be so nice if you could leave a comment. You comment me if you have a question or want to say hello. Hey, stop on by!
